Cruz Primera

The Cruz Primera (First Cross) was the one nearest to Lepe of those that apparently existed on the way from the village to the site where the monastery of La Bella was located. It has been a compulsory stop throughout the ages; on the pilgrimage to Our Lady of la Bella, both in the transfers to Lepe from its shelter in the monastery of El Terrón, as in the time of the new age, when it was transferred from Lepe to the grounds of the procession during the romería.
