The Lepe Smart Tourism and Transparent Governance project is a project of the Lepe City Council and RED.ES, a public business entity of the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and the Digital Agenda, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund ERDF.
The initiative is proposed as a means to achieve a strategic objective such as social and economic welfare of citizens of the municipality. Through the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) on digital infrastructure and services, a city is built so as to manage its resources more efficiently and sustainably and offer its citizens better services.
The main components resulting from this initiative are:
- The definition of the corporate identity of the Lepe Smart City Project.
- A consultancy work on the tourist sector of the city, in order to carry out an analysis and diagnosis of the tourist sector in Lepe, to define tourist axes on which to structure the services and resources that Lepe offers its visitors
- The development of the new Lepe Smart City tourism platform, consisting of a tourism web portal and a municipal tourism mobile application.
- A new municipal information portal complemented by an information and communication mobile application between citizens and the Municipal Administration
- Geosheld, a tool that will allow the integration of tourist offers and municipal centers on a map viewer.
- A mobile application for the collection of tourist data that allows a better assessment of the city’s tourist sector by means of smart tools.
- The provision and installation of light-duty terminals for municipal administrative units.
